5 Animals With A Long Gestation Period That Will Make You More Patient

Hello puffed up mamas. Certainly, by now you know all about your due date, all thanks to Baby Scan Clinic Aylesbury that accurately predict the same, along with many other aspects of pregnancy. But have you been throwing tantrums lately because your due date seems ages long? Well, you are not alone. But today let's take a look at the gestation period of some other mamas who might surprise you with their patience, even without any assistance of baby scan clinic.

1. Zebra - 10 – 12 Months

There are mainly 3 different species zebras, thus they have a different gestation period, however, a baby scan clinic might be able to tell them precisely about it in advance. LOL!. These black and white striped mamas can carry their babies for about 10 months to a year. Needless to say, designing those unique stripes for each zebra seems quite time-consuming after all.

2. Elephant- Around 95 weeks

These bulky mamas stay bulky for about 2 years while carrying out a pregnancy. If you think lying on your back is difficult during the third trimester, imagine their condition of backache, during around 95 weeks of pregnancy. But thankfully, the elephant give birth to no more than 3-4 calves in her lifetime

3. Giraffe- Around 460 Days

Giraffe mamas stay bumped up for around 400 days but keep 2 more months as a grace period. Being the tallest animal, they give birth while standing up and their babies are first welcomed by the gravity even before by the warm embrace of the mother but, don't worry, they get close soon enough.

4. Gorillas- 8.5 Months

Gorillas resemble humans a lot, right! Well, their pregnancy period resembles that of ours too. Their gestation lasts around 8.5 months. That makes us wonder if their visit to the baby scan clinic will produce the same results as ours. A hunch feeling tells us, it will be similar, after all, we did share the same ancestry in the past.

5. Dolphins- Around 17 Months

If you thought only land animals have such a long gestation period, then think again. These aquatic mammals have long pregnancy period as well. For some species of dolphin, it can be a wait of around 17 months to get a glimpse of their young ones. But on a brighter side, they would make great deduction themselves, if they ever make a visit in an ultrasound baby scan clinic

So, in case you have been feeling rage or impatience for your child to arrive, just give a thought to these other mamas, who are dealing with it, much better than you.
